PostWeavers is a Chrome extension. It drafts replies in your voice, in a side panel, on x.com. It never posts anything. You do.

Install the download

  1. Unzip the file you just downloaded. You'll get a postweaver-1.0.0-chrome folder. Put it somewhere it can stay (Chrome loads it from that spot).
  2. Open chrome://extensions in a new tab.
  3. Flip on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  4. Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
  5. Pin PostWeavers from the puzzle-piece menu, open x.com, and click into any reply box, or press Cmd+Shift+S (Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows) to open the side panel.

First two minutes

  • Pick how drafting runs. Settings → AI Drafting: PostWeaver Cloud (no key, free tier included, $12/mo for more) or My own key (Anthropic or OpenAI: free forever, you pay your provider pennies).
  • Teach it your voice. One click analyzes your own posts and distills a style guide it reuses on every draft. Drafts stop sounding like a bot because they're built from you.
  • Reply. Click into a reply box on X, jot a rough thought (or don't), pick a strategy, and hit Draft. Read it, edit it, and press Post yourself. Always.

What it will never do

No auto-posting, no auto-DMs, no scheduled engagement, no acting on your account while you sleep. That's not a missing feature. It's the entire point, and it's what keeps your account on the right side of X's automation rules.
